As the tittle Seriously, the Warhammer 40k universe are huge.. Something like the Horus Heresy is always going to be expanded on. When a Space Marine appears in one of the books I mentioned, I get a sense of excitement There are of course many exceptions to this, I'd for example say that Torgaddon, Tarvitz and Lucius from the first three Horus Heresy novels are good and interesting characters. Horus Rising is the first book of the Horus Heresy series published by Black Library. Anyway, before I get to those 2 latest books.. Abridged from the best selling novel by Dan Abnett and read by award winning star of stage and screen Martyn Eliis, Horus Rising comes to life in this almost 6 hour reading. Abnett has written titles such as 'horus rising' and 'legion', then realized how amazingly awesome he is. Themes it centres on (chiefly about being more about the wolves as a legion than keeping up with the whole HH series). This week's mail brought the much more imposing Horus Rising: a 6-hour, 5 CD audio extravaganza adapting one of the central works in the Warhammer 40K canon – the tale of the epic betrayal of the immortal Emperor by his Warmaster, Horus : It is the 31st millennium. I've been aware of the Warhammer 40000 sci-fi novels for a while now and if I'm being honest, I've always been a bit wary. And I, just couldn't get enough of them. Dipped into the book again, LOVED IT, remembered that Mr. Now ive started reading Horus Rising and there's something I have to admit, SM's are pretty dull characters. I dont say every BL writer is awesome and every novel/sourcebook is according to my thinking 40K universe. Published February 11, 2011 | By pablocheesecake. Here is Horus Rising is the first book of the Horus Heresy Series. The series chronicles what is potentially the most important event in the history of Games Workshop's Warhammer 40,000 universe.
